ADIPEC kicks off in Abi Dhabi

The annual Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference will continue until Thursday

The annual Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Conference and Exhibition, the region’s largest and world known conference, starts in Abu Dhabi today under the patronage of the President of the United Arab Emirates HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Today marks the 30th anniversary of ADIPEC, which this year has attracted more than 1,800 exhibitors and another 60,000 oil and gas professionals from all over the globe.

Starting on Monday, the show will spread over four days and close on Thursday this week.

An array of events are set to take place including 81 technical conference sessions, eight executive panel sessions, a ministerial panel session and a keynote address from Dr Michio Kaku.

This year ADIPEC will boast 21 international pavilions showcasing thousands of products.

Over 6,500 delegates and 600 speakers from 111 organisation across 37 countries will attend and take part at the conference.

The long-awaited event will be used by National Oil Companies (NOCs), International Oil Companies (IOCs) and Service companies as an opportunity to sign a number of ground-breaking contracts with the event set to witness billions of dollars worth of business being done during the four show days.
