Chicago Bridge and Iron Company has signed a contract for nearly $90mn with Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Co. (ADMA-OPCO).

As part of the deal CB&I will conduct a major overhaul of five crude oil storage tanks on Das Island- ADMA-OPCO’s main industrial base in the United Arab Emirates.

“CB&I’s comprehensive capabilities and experience in designing and constructing storage tanks has made us an industry leader for more than 100 years,” said Luke Scorsone, president of CB&I’s Fabrication Services operating group.

“It also gives us the know-how to successfully and safely execute tank overhaul projects such as this one for ADMA-OPCO.”

ADMA-OPCO operates two major fields – Umm Shaif and Zakum. The operations are centered on extracting oil and gas from the field and transferring the crude through a sophisticated pipeline network to Das Island for processing, storing and exporting.
