Saad Sherida Al Kaabi has been appointed as Qatar Petroleum’s new Managing Director, after a meeting of the company’s board of directors.

The meeting was chaired by H E Dr Mohamed bin Saleh Al Sada, the Minister of Energy and Industry, and held in the presence of Vice Chairman H E Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim Al Thani.

It was also attended by the Minister of Economy and Commerce, and the Board Members H E Ali Sheriff Al Emadi, the Minister of Finance, Dr Ibrahim Al Ibrahim, Hamad Rashid Al Mohannadi, Nasser Khalil Al Jaidah.

Al Kaabi has been with Qatar Petroleum since 1986; since 2006, he has been the Director of Oil & Gas Ventures.
