Pellerin Energy Group sets Deepwater record

Pellerin division builds Deepwater Horizontal Flotation Separator.

Pellerin Water Solutions (PWS) has designed and built a Horizontal Flotation Separator (HF- SEP) for Stone Energy Corporation.
PWS, which is a subsidiary of Pellerin Energy Group (PEG) is also a leading integrated service provider for the oil and gas industry,

The HF- SEP was particularly designed with dissolved gas flotation (DGF) technologies that will enhance the separation process of oil and produced water, thus maximizing production and increasing profitability. Stone Energy, which is an independent oil and gas exploration and production company, will integrate the HF-SEP with its deepwater facility, Pompano, located in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM).

“The Horizontal Flotation Separator is used in the treatment of produced water to meet regulatory standards for discharge,” said Ed Godeaux, general manager, PWS. “It includes an atmospheric-designed flotation cell capable of treating 40,000 barrels of water per day,” he said.

“The Horizontal Flotation Separator is one of the largest of its kind in the Gulf of Mexico and was built to exceed Stone Energy’s produced water needs,” said Josh Pellerin, chief executive officer and president, PEG. “With this technology, Pellerin Water Solutions has positioned itself to be the leader in the oil and gas industry for produced water needs,” he said.

Pellerin Energy Group is made up of four business units -Water Solutions; Health, Safety and Environment; Energy Rentals; and Chemical and Lubricants.
