Gulf Petrochem Group has implemented an ERP solution developed by Inatech, the global cloud-enabled software and IT services company. The system is based on the Microsoft Dynamics Navision 2009 platform and is fully integrated with Inatech’s intelligent Bunkertech bunkering product.
The project automates and reduces Gulf Petrochem’s reliance on manually intensive processes, integrates multiple in-house systems and enhances information flow across its businesses, designed to enable faster and smarter decision making.
“In order to manage our rapid growth, we needed a scalable and integrated platform that would optimise our vital decision making business processes and a solution that would incorporate our trading business life cycle. Inatech was able to bring that unique expertise to the table,” said Prerit Goel, group director “By combining Inatech’s ERP and Bunkertech solution we now have one system that runs across all our businesses. This will allow us to minimize costs within our supply chain, optimise our fuel procurement, enable us to see all our business activities as they happen and deliver improvements to our bottom-line profit.”
The solution went live at Gulf Petrochem’s UAE facilities and will be rolled out across its international offices in Asia and South East Asia, South America and the Middle East
The project will unite all company departments under a single integrated system, including finance, inventory, supply chain management, manufacturing, HR, logistics, terminal management and bunkering. Since Gulf Petrochem’s production processes include Batch and Continuous Production, the application will facilitate both styles effectively and efficiently.
In order to address Gulf Petrochem’s bunkering business, the solution includes Inatech’s bunkering product – Bunkertech – to handle bunker sales, x-wharf sales, truck sales, bulk trading, risk management, operations, inventory and invoicing processes. Through a customised integration layer Bunkertech connects into the main ERP system. It also integrates with third party systems – Weigh Bridge and Platts pricing.
“This is a significant win for Inatech. By integrating our bunkering product with our ERP offering we are able to offer Gulf Petrochem a solution that is unique to the oil trading, bunkering, and oil refinery marketplace and that is ideally suited to their business requirements,” said Jean Herve Jenn, CEO of Inatech.
