The World Future Energy Summit (WFES) opened today in Abu Dhabi.
The event, which runs from the 20 – 22 January 2014 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, showcases a huge range of ambitious technology aimed at producing cleaner, more efficient energy.
The three day event will include speeches from the UAE’s Minister for Energy, H.E. Suhail Mohamed Faraj Al Mazrouei, as well as a host of industry experts and academics. Hosted by Masdar, the WFES conference attracts world leaders, international policy makers, industry experts, investors from the public and private sector and media, who gather to discuss practical and sustainable solutions to future energy challenges.
WFES forms part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, which will be comprised of six elements, namely WFES, the International Water Summit (IWS), the assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the Renewable Energy Jobs Conference, the Zayed Future Energy Prize Awards and Eco-Waste 2014.
Over 800 companies are expected to exhibit at the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week – 650 of which will be at WFES.
