AMEC scoops ADGAS anti-flaring PMC deal

FEED stage contract will help ADGAS cut is environmental impact

AMEC, the international engineering and project management company, has been awarded a project management consultancy (PMC) services contract by the Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Company (ADGAS) for the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) phase of their Flaring & Emission Reduction project at their Liquefied Natural Gas facilities on Das Island, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The 10-month contract, the value of which has not been announced, will be carried out by AMEC’s team in the UAE and will help ADGAS to reduce carbon dioxide and sulphur dioxide emissions at the plant. This is in line with ADGAS’s policy of minimising the environmental impact of its operations and, as a result, contributing towards reducing the impact on global warming.

“I am delighted that we are able to support repeat customer ADGAS in delivering an important project in one of AMEC’s strategic growth regions,” said Alan McLean, Vice President of AMEC’s Middle East, Africa and CIS regions. “This award recognises not only our PMC capabilities, but also our world-class emissions-reduction expertise.”
