PDO and partners launch 3D concrete printing facility in Oman

Concrete 3D printing is part of the industry’s efforts to improve sustainability and reduce waste

Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), Innotech and Galfar Engineering and Contracting established a 3D concrete printing facility in Ghala Industrial Area.

According to a report by the Oman News Agency, this follows the agreement signed in May 2021 to collaborate on research and development in concrete  3D printing in Oman. The companies are aiming to increase local industry and training, and to boost public-private partnership.

Concrete 3D printing is part of an industry move towards sustainability, with potential to reduce waste and boost efficiency.

PDO contributed its technical expertise and managing the project.
