The Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has launched a digital portal to accept bids for projects online. According to local news outlet Al-Anba, KOC will no longer accept bids in sealed envelopes, as it used to, but will only accept them through its e-service.
Al-Anba reported that all stages of submitting bids can be conducted through the website, from viewing tenders to submitting and evaluating bids, to the contract awards.
This is reportedly part of KOC’s plan to move towards electronic and smart services to streamline business. It also works within remote working guidelines.
Contractors will have to register via the website, receive a user number and a private number, and then follow the instructions. If bids are sent manually, they will be rejected.
