ADNOC Refining awarded McDermott the FEED contract for Refinery Offgases project at Ruwais Refinery in Abu Dhabi. McDermott says the deal is worth between $1mn and $50mn.Â
The scope of work includes evaluation of technology configurations and options for recovery of hydrogen, ethane and sales-grade LPG or C3 and C4. The ROG FEED services will be used as the basis for the preparation of the engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) estimate and inquiry phase.
McDermott will immediately begin work on the project.
The company reported a $2.7bn net loss for FY2018, mainly due to non-recurring charges including a $2.2bn goodwill impairment charge.Â
The Texas-based company won two EPCI contracts worth up to $1bn for Saudi Aramco’s $15bn offshore Marjan development project
