Emerson has opened a Middle East and Africa Flow Service Centre in Dubai, the company announced today. The centre is expected to minimize downtime and reduce operational costs for the company’s customers in the Middle East and Africa, who will not have to remove and ship flowmeters for service or calibration.
In a press release announcing the centre, Emerson Automation Solutions President for the Middle East and Africa Jeff Householder noted that the centre would provide “accessible local and certified services.”
The National Metrology Institute of the Netherlands certified the calibration equipment’s Calibration and Measurement Capability with an uncertainty of 0.03%.
The centre also provides flowmeter diagnostics and evaluations, meter repair, witness inspection services and documentation to guarantee calibration and testing quality, as well as training programs.
This is Emerson’s second flow calibration service centre in the region, following the establishment of its $3 million Middle East Flow Service Centre in Abu Dhabi by Emerson Process Management in 2011.
