kuwait

Kuwait officials have submitted an advisory report to the government to introduce expat quotas, according to a report by Arabian Business, citing Kuwait Times.

The report shows that private academic bodies studying Kuwait’s population demographics have submitted an advisory report to the government outlining recommendations to address the “imbalance of expatriates” in the country.

The focus of the recommendations include fixing the demographic imbalance, improving the quality of expatriate workers, and reducing the number of unskilled expat workers.

The report also suggested implementing a quota for each nationality in Kuwait to ensure that it does not exceed 25% of the number of Kuwaitis.

The report also recommended improving the quality of expatriate workers to enhance the level of services provided to citizens.

The government is expected to review the recommendations and implement measures to address the demographic imbalance and improve the quality of public services and infrastructure for citizens.

The implementation of quotas for nationalities is expected to be a key focus in the government’s efforts to address the population demographics in the country.
