The Gault&Millau gala awards will take place at Burj Al Arab on Thursday, April 27.
The Gault&Millau awards will cover 12 categories, including a new one, “Champagne Offering of the Year.” The event will also reveal the ratings of the 134 restaurants that made it onto the 2023 guide.
The awards will have 12 categories, recognising excellence in various areas, such as the best chef, the best service, and the best wine list.
The addition of the “Champagne Offering of the Year” category, in particular, also reflects Dubai’s growing reputation as a hub for fine dining and luxury experiences.
The shortlist for the awards were revealed on March 30.

Over a period of nine months, Gault&Millau’s anonymous reviewers have been testing food from various restaurants in the UAE to evaluate and rank the best ones.
The extensive process covered over 200 restaurants, including those featured in the 2022 Guide, previously unsuccessful ones, and newly opened establishments.
Guests at the gala will be treated to a specially curated menu and fine wine pairings. Attendees will also receive a copy of the second edition of the Gault&Millau guide, which includes the complete list of restaurants.
After the event, a digital version of the reviews will be accessible on the official website, and the winners and other updates from the awards ceremony will be shared on Gault&Millau’s official Instagram.
