As Eid Al Adha approaches, UAE residents are gearing up for a well-deserved break. With schools closing for a two-month summer vacation, a five- or six-day weekend awaits, subject to the sighting of the Moon.

According to the Islamic Hijri calendar, the designated holiday period spans from the 9th to the 12th of Dhul Hijjah. While the Gregorian calendar dates may vary, recent astronomical calculations suggest that the holiday will likely fall between Tuesday, June 27, and Friday, June 30.

This extended break includes the usual Saturday-Sunday weekend, providing a total respite of six days. The much-anticipated Eid Al Adha, celebrated during the final month of the Hijri calendar known as Dhul Hijjah, promises a delightful time for families and friends.

The exact duration of the weekend, whether it be five or six days, will be confirmed on Dhul Qaidah 29, corresponding to June 18. Stay tuned for the official announcement as UAE residents prepare to embark on a joyous and relaxing Eid Al Adha holiday.
