American tubing manufacturer RathGibson International, organised training and presentation sessions for customers and channel partners in the Kazakhstani cities of Aktau, Almaty and Aktobe.
RathGibson’s director, International Business Development for Africa, Middle East & India, Alfredo D’Souza and Safar Oilfield Services general manager, Chris Drake spearheaded all the meetings in Kazakhstan.
Detailed product and application training of RathGibson and Mid-South Control Line products was presented to channel partner Safar Oilfield Services in their Aktobe and Aktau offices. Several oil and gas companies, as well as oil and gas service valve companies, met with RathGibson at KIOGE 2010, the 18th Kazakhstan International Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference in Almaty, for promising business discussions.
The significant oil and natural gas reserves in Kazakhstan position the country to become one of the world’s largest oil producers and exporters in the future. The country also possesses enormous mineral and metal reserves. As the largest economy in Central Asia, Kazakhstan aims to be modernised and well-integrated into the global market.

RathGibson has supplied tubing to the fast emerging geothermal market in Turkey. The company initially provided tubing to Turkey’s first private geothermal power plant and has remained a supplier to this project and several other geothermal projects in Aiden and Izmir in Turkey.

The company will be participating at ADIPEC 2010, the biggest Oil & Gas Exhibition in the Middle East to be held in Abu Dhabi from 01-04 November.
