Hengam oilfield in Iran is expected to start output by March 20, the managing director of the Iranian Offshore Oil Company has revealed.

He also explained that after early exploitation of the project, other developmental wells will be drilled and production will be increased. Progress on the Hengam oilfield has been swift, in comparison with other similar projects in the region.
Zirakchianzadeh said that two jackets will be installed in the field early next year. Construction of the pipeline, which is the country’s longest seabed pipeline, is underway. Facilities are said to be designed to increase refining capacity to up to 100,000 barrels per day, the newspaper reported.
