Al-Naimi keeps quiet on OPEC quotas

Saudi oil chief sidesteps media scrum to make sharp exit at GPCA

The Saudi Arabian oil minister Ali Al-Naimi made light work of the baying crowd of journalists hoping for a scoop from the hydrocarbons industry legend.

After making the keynote speech to the GPCA Forum currently being held in Dubai, Al-Naimi opened up the floor, but warned delegates that he would not be answering any questions regarding the forthcoming OPEC meeting in Angola, OPEC production quotas or oil prices.

Not to be put off, a large crowd of industry hacks waited outside the conference hall hoping that Al-Naimi would have a change of heart on the way to his car – he didn’t.

In fact the the Saudi oil chief didn’t even stay to pick up a free stress ball and pen combo from the SABIC stand.

Stay tuned to the blog because ArabianOilandGas.com will keep you posted about all the goings on from the GPCA over the next two days.
