Why you don't want to work for Ajman Petroleum

Ajman Petroleum was established to develop and operate the Upper Zakum Field, one of the largest oil fields in the world. Its mandate is to develop the Upper Zakum field. Ajman Petroleum is a prominent oil producer, both regionally and internationally.

All good stuff – except it is completely and unequivocally false.

Ajman Petroleum is in fact a website created by fraudsters to lure would-be jobseekers the way of financial ruin.

As I am sure you know, Zakum Field is being developed and operated by Zadco. And perhaps the legal guys down at Zadco would be interested in taking a look at the Ajman Petroleum website. It’s a complete rip off of the firm’s ‘About Us’ section.

The scam involves an email appearing in your inbox, explaining the many opportunities at Ajman Petroleum which are just waiting to be snapped up. But just as candidates start dreaming of a brand shiny new job, the company starts asking for cash.

So if any readers are looking for an oil and gas job, I’ll offer you two pieces of advice: always check the company actually exists and stay well away from Ajman Petroleum.
