It was recently announced that General Electric (GE) has won a multi billion dollar contract to build 56 power generation units in Iraq.
However, there is some discepancy between the price. The press announcement on the GE website says the contract is worth US$3 billion, while the Iraqi Minister of Electricity, Kareem Waheed, quotes a figure of $7 billion.
