Awards 2017: BASF bags Water Management Solution category

The nomination from the German company was successful in winning the admiration of the judges, who thought the technology stood out for being “truly innovative”

The world’s largest chemicals company BASF emerged successful in the ‘Water Management Solution of the Year’ segment – yet another new category that was launched for the 2017 edition of the Awards.

The nomination from the German company was successful in winning the admiration of the judges, who thought the technology stood out for being “truly innovative”.

The downstream sector in the Middle East has made major achievements in water use efficiency, thanks to the innovative water management solutions available for the sector, and the ‘Water Management Solution of the Year’ category sought to recognise such a methodology for its uniqueness, innovation and value creation.

BASF won the award for its patented Sokalan RO 3500 technology. New multifunctional antiscalant for reverse osmosis membrane treatment with proven performance on various scales, different feed water compositions and especially designed for water re-use applications. Compared to phosphonate-based antiscalants Sokalan RO 3500 is not causing eutrophication to water bodies.
