Hello and welcome to Oil & Gas Middle East magazine’s annual list of the top 30 engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies that operate in the Middle East and North Africa region’s energy sector.
The prosperity of the oil and gas industry has always relied on the way its projects have been engineered, built, managed and maintained.
In times like these, when cost-optimisation and operational excellence drives are dictating the course of the energy industry, the role of EPC companies has grown manifold, as oil and gas operators heavily depend on these players to not only deliver sterling projects, but also manage various expenses and take control of aspects that are associated with the overall success of a project.
We have applied the same simple methodology for compiling the list as last year, which takes into account four factors: volume and value of contract wins in 2016 and Q1 2017; type of projects won; financial performance; and plans and contract bids currently in the pipeline. Congratulations to all the companies that have been featured in this year’s list.
