Maersk Oil Qatar has launched the third phase of its Qatarisation campaign aimed at attracting more nationals to the company.
The campaign called ‘Find Your Place’ features Qataris who have had a successful career with the company and focuses on “targeted recruitment as well as tailored coaching and accelerated development for high achievers”.
Maersk Oil Qatar said they have seen “an increase in the number and quality of Qatari job applicants, along with the promotion of several talented Qataris to leadership or senior specialist roles”. As part of its Qatarisation strategy, the company has set the target of quadrupling the number of Qataris in leadership or senior specialist roles by 2017.
Lewis Affleck, managing director of Maersk Oil Qatar, said:Â “I’m delighted to launch our latest recruitment campaign. Over the past twenty-two years Maersk Oil Qatar has developed a unique level of experience in operating one of the world’s largest, most complex oilfield developments at Al Shaheen, offshore Qatar. The field will be just as important to Qatar in the coming decades – that is why we are committed to maintaining the right blend of experience and expertise by attracting and developing the best and the brightest talent.”
