Iran’s gasoline production is expected to reach 68mn litres per day by March 2015.

The daily gasoline production of Abadan Refinery alone will increase by more than 2mn litres following the implementation of the third phase of the facility by November, Zawya news site has reported. 

Habibollah Abolhosseini, the managing director of Abadan Refinery, added that the gasoline output of the refinery will increase from 10.1mn letres to 12.5mn litres per day. He added that the project will also increase the quality of gasoline produced in the refinery to meet Euro 4 and 5 standards. 

Saeed Mahjoubi, an official with the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC), said earlier this month that development projects are being completed in Abadan, Lavan and Bandar Abbas refineries to increase gasoline output.
