The Iranian Oil Pipelines and Telecommunications Company (IOPTC) will extend the length of its pipelines.
The Managing Director of IOPTC, Abbasali Ja’fari said the company will lengthen its pipelines to 14,400 kilometers by the end of the current Iranian year (ending March 20, 2015).
Ja’fari noted that the remaining 420 km of Abadan-Rey oil pipeline is expected to be completed by the National Iranian Oil Construction and Engineering Company (NIOEC) by the end of the year.
He said that IOPTC handles preliminary work on pipelines such as the installation of temporary pumping facilities before they are made operational.
The company is also repairs oil pipelines in Iran. It worked on the Sanzab-Tange Fani, which is part of the Abadan-Rey pipeline.
