Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) has extended Galfar Engineering and Contracting Company’s North Oman Off Plot Delivery Contract which was first awarded in May 2005.
Oman- based Galfar has been given a ‘variation to contract’ (VTC) which will extend for one more year- August 2014 to August 2015.The extension which is estimated at $100 million will boosts Galfar’s reputation as a credible and reliable contractor.
“We value our relationship with the PDO and consider them as one of our most valued clients. Galfar will continue to engage itself in the safe delivery of projects with the oil and gas sector,” said Dr Hans Erlings, CEO Galfar.
Galfar has been executing projects at several locations in northern regions of Oman; Qarn Alam, Lekhwair, Fahud and Yibal. The projects which involve maintenance services, design, civil, mechanical and electrical work, span an area greater 40,000 square kilometers.
