The Iranian Oil Ministry will issue tenders to build eight new gas condensate refineries in Siraf, Bushehr province.
Managing director of the National Iranian Oil Company, Rokneddin Javadi, said the tenders are being issued to attract private sector participation in the project.
Javadi said Iran has plans to refine a large volume of gas condensates for export, adding that the country easily exports its oil and gas products.
“This initiative will create more value-added and jobs,” he said.
The completion of the new South Pars Gas Field phases will see Iran’s gas condensate production capacity will exceed 1 million barrels per day.
