Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) and GE Oil & Gas have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Petroleum Institute University & Research Center (PI) to provide specialised training programmes, summer internship opportunities and educational tools students at the institute.
The three-year agreement demonstrates the pair’s commitment to promoting human capital development and knowledge sharing as the move strengthens the long standing partnership between GE and ADNOC.
GE will support at least one senior graduation project every academic year and two training sessions each semester on subjects related to inspection technologies, turbo-machinery and rotating equipment vibration analysis. The company will also host at least one field visit per semester and provide about three to four summer internship opportunities initially with the goal of expanding it to 10 internships in the next three years.
PI and GE will perform joint seminars, short courses and workshops for PI students and external stakeholders with a minimum of two seminars planned per semester.
