Established in 2004, MEGlobal is a joint venture between The Dow Chemical Company of the United States, and Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) of Kuwait.

MEGlobal manufactures more than 1.0 million metric tonnes of EG per year at its three manufacturing plants in Alberta, Canada. Fort Saskatchewan: Nameplate capacity 380 metric tonnes per annum Prentiss I, Red Deer: Nameplate capacity 320 metric tonnes per annum Prentiss II, Red Deer: Nameplate capacity 278 metric tonnes per annum

MEGlobal is committed to meet the ethics, policies and codes of practice of Responsible Care, a voluntary initiative within the global chemical industry that promotes the safe handling of products from development, through manufacture and distribution, to disposal.

MEGlobal has approximately 200 employees around the world in locations as diverse as the United Arab Emirates, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Switzerland and the United States.

MEGlobal operates the FS1 EO/EG (Ethylene Oxide/Ethylene Glycol) plant in Fort Saskatchewan in the Alberta Province of Canada, home to approximately 45 employees. The Fort Saskatchewan site began operations in 1961.

MEGlobal markets in excess of 3.5 million metric tonnes from its world-leading supply partners.
