Weatherford International

Weatherford International provide products and services for drilling, evaluation, completion, production and intervention of oil and natural gas wells.In 2011,the company’s revenue was confirmed as $12.99 billion. Weatherford International has its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland but has a significant presence here in the Middle East. The company currently employs 61,000 people in the oil & gas industry.

Halliburton

With revenues of $248 billion in 2011, Halliburton are one of the largest oilfield service companies in the world. Through it’s numerous subsidiaries, Halliburton employs over 100,000 people in the oil & gas industry.

Petrofac

Petrofac have recently been awarded a $21 million FEED contract for the UAE’s Bab Field.
Whilst Petrofac’s official headquarters are in London, UK, the company also has a key regional office for the Middle East in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.

Baker Hughes

Founded in 1907, this Texan based company now has assets totalling $24.8 billion. Amongst the companies largest contracts was awarded for work at the Karachaganak field in Kazakhstan.

National Oilwell Varco

This Houston based firm employs nearly 64,000 people across 6 continents in the oil & gas industry. With a revenue of $22.9 billion, they are certainly one of the industries key players. National Oilwell Varco specialise in mechanical components for land and offshore drilling rigs, tubular inspection and internal tubular coatings, drill string equipment, complete land drilling and well servicing rigs and a broad offering of downhole drilling motors, bits and tools.

Al Mansoori

Abu Dhabi based firm Al Mansoori was founded in 1977. The company has gone from strength to strength and now employs 2,075 people around the world. Although much of Al Mansoori’s business activities centre around the Middle East, the company is also expanding its operations into North Africa.
