Alfa Laval wins US$16.3 million Middle East order

The order, booked in the energy and process segment, has a value of approximately US$16.3 million and its delivery is scheduled for 2017 and 2018.

Alfa Laval has won an order in late December 2016 to supply heat exchangers to a natural gas plant in the Middle East. The order, booked in the energy and process segment, has a value of approximately US$16.3 million and its delivery is scheduled for 2017 and 2018.

The order comprises the supply of compact heat exchangers, which will be used to recover energy in the gas cleaning process. This will bring down the natural gas plant’s power consumption and CO2 emissions.

Svante Karlsson, president, process technology division, Alfa Laval, said: “These heat exchangers are commonly used in demanding applications as they are both safe and reliable. The order confirms Alfa Laval’s position as a reliable partner for the oil and gas industry.”

Globally, Alfa Laval provides specialised products and engineering solutions based on its technologies for heat transfer, separation and fluid handling. The company’s equipment, systems and services help to heat, cool, separate and transport products in industries that produce chemicals and petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, starch, sugar, food and beverages, and ethanol.

Alfa Laval’s solutions are also used in oil and gas exploration, power plants, in the mechanical engineering industry, in the mining industry and for wastewater treatment, as well as for comfort climate and refrigeration applications.
