Iranians oil and gas operators have drilled a total 61,949 meters of oil and gas wells in the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21-May 20), according to news site Zawya.
Mehran Makvandi, the deputy head of National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC ), made the announcement and hailed the unsparing efforts of Iranian engineers, technicians and skilled workers. Makvandi noted that since March 20, the NIDC ‘s fleet have drilled deep oil and gas wells in onshore and offshore regions, Fars News Agency reported.
“Thirty drilling rigs were transferred to different locations during the period,” he said.Makvandi also said the NIDC is currently responsible for drilling rigs run by the National Iranian South Oil Company, Petroleum Engineering and Development Company, Iranian Offshore Oil Company and Iranian Central Oil Fields Company.
