Oil Plus secures contracts worth $800,000 in the Middle East and India

The 40-year-old oil and gas consultancy is expanding its reach in the Middle East.

Oil and gas consultancy Oil Plus has received contracts worth $800,000 in the Middle East and India, the company announced today.

One contract, from Al Khafji Joint Operations, will have Oil Plus conduct water injection compatibility studies and engineering work over a five month period. Details on other contracts were not available.

Al Khafji Joint Operations is a joint operating company between Aramco Gulf Operations Company and Kuwait Gulf Oil Company. It handles offshore oil and gas exploration, development and production near the Saudi-Kuwait border. That includes the Khafji and Hout oilfields. Tenders were placed for the expansion of Al Khafji’s onshore facilities and Al Hout gas field in June 2018.

Oil Plus’ global business development director, Clarke Shepherd, commented on the contracts, noting that Oil Plus has “invested heavily in expanding our service offering over the past two 18 months to ensure we continue to provide optimum efficiency for our customers.”

This follows an April 2018 announcement that Oil Plus had received contracts worth $1.5 million since the start of the year for reservoir souring modelling, production chemistry and iron sulfide studies in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and other countries outside of the Middle East.

“We are now in a robust position to further extend our global reach, developing our relationships with operators and partners in key international oil and gas hubs,” Shepherd said.
