Saudi Aramco’s Berri offshore oilfield development is up for tender, according to two posts made by the company on Abu Dhabi-based tender site ProTenders on August 31, 2018.

“The scope of the contract covers 10 oil production deck modules (PDM) each weighing around 1,500 tonnes, a PDM for water injection, a tie-in platform and around 100 km of subsea pipelines,” notes the project description for Aramco’s Berri Offshore Oilfield Increment Programme.

The listing continues to describe several packages within the project, including gas plant expansion, gas-oil separation units and offshore jackets installation. Another listing on Ventures Onsite noted the project scope included 9 jackets.

The Berri field, which is partly onshore and partly offshore, has reserves of more than 15 billion barrels and will be able to produce an additional 250,000 barrels of crude oil per day at project completion, according to Saudi Aramco’s post on ProTenders. It currently produces betwen 250,000 and 300,000 bpd.

It has 11 oil-bearing reservoirs producing Arabian light and extra light crude oil, and low-pressure gas would be transferred to the Berri gas plant in Jubail, according to the ProTenders listing. The Berri gas plant in Jubail is also being expanded and the project up for tender, according to another post by the company on ProTenders.

“The project includes construction of a large gas processing facility for a gas plant expansion to treat associated high and low-pressure gas from the Berri offshore oil and gas field. Upon completion, the additional unit will have a capacity of 250,000 barrels of oil per day (BPD). The project will also include the construction of additional facilities at the Khursaniyah gas plant that will process 40,000 barrels of condensate hydrocarbon per day (BPD).”
