With a striking increase in submissions this year, our judging panel had to scrutinise a competitive crop of candidate from across the upstream, midstream, downstream and utilities sectors. The shortlist represented some of the best in the industry, but ultimately, one winner and one highly commended nomination were chosen.

The winner of Logistics Service Provider of the Year 2019:

Brooge Petroleum and Gas Investment Company was awarded the Logistics Service Provider of the Year. One judge emphasised its terminals that “have been designed for long-term use by using materials that have longer expected life spans than comparable materials utilised by other oil storage terminals. The storage tanks are designed to permit conversions from storing one clean petroleum product to another at an average speed of 48 hours from storing fuel oil to gas oil at an average speed of 14 days.”

“We are very excited to have another award,” said Nicolaas Paardenkooper, CEO of Brooge Petroleum and Gas Investment Company. “The facility is really amazing, our customers are very satisfied, they use the facilities on a daily basis, literally converting product from one end to the other in terms of change. The workforce has been working for the last two years without any lost time incident, and we are very excited that the industry recognises the facility and its design.”
