The editors of Oil & Gas Middle East, Refining & Petrochemicals Middle East and Utilities Middle East are pleased to announce that the Middle East Energy Awards received approximately 70% more nominations than the last edition of the awards.
This is an indication of the industry’s appetite for such an occasion to celebrate the great achievements of 2019 across the regional energy sector.
In addition to the growing number of submissions, the tenth edition of the flagship awards event saw the widest range of submissions from across the GCC, with more companies represented among its 16 categories. With a more diverse group of nominees than ever, the awards are set to celebrate a wide range of achievements impacting the energy sector across the region.
The awards ceremony will for the first time represent the utilities sector, including renewable and clean energy, in addition to the upstream and downstream sectors, which it has celebrated for nine years. As such, Oil & Gas Middle East and Refining & Petrochemicals Middle East, who have traditionally co-hosted the awards, have teamed up with Utilities Middle East to rebrand the awards ceremony, making it truly representative of the energy sector.
Other key additions to the awards are two Editor’s Choice awards: The Lifetime Achievement Award and the Innovator of the Year Award. As the industry landscape shifts, the awards ceremony shifts alongside it to highlight the key trends, interests and focal points of the energy segment.
While the opportunity to submit nominations for this year’s edition of the awards has officially closed, we encourage all members of the industry to keep an eye out for this year’s awards to keep in touch with the very best of the energy sector, and consider nominating themselves, or their companies, next year for a chance to stand on the stage among the winners for the 2020 awards.
