As the 9th edition of the Oil & Gas Middle East and Refining & Petrochemicals Middle East Awards is set to celebrate the industry on September 12, we look at this year’s category finalists for Oil & Gas Woman of the Year.

This year presented a very competitive class of nominees, and three finalists have made it through the rigorous selection process for Oil & Gas Woman of the Year 2018.

Nas-ha Mohammed Nasser Al Fallahi, Duqm Refinery and Petrochemical Industries Company
Nas-ha Al Fallahi has more than 16 years of experience in a variety of fields, and has spent the past five years as the general manager of corporate affairs for Duqm Refinery and Petrochemical Industries Company. In her role, she brings a wealth of experience to tackle strategic and corporate planning, human capital management, training and development, CSR and communication functions, among other responsibilities.

Sarah Baradah, Saudi Aramco Total Refining & Petrochemical Company
Sarah Baradah has been the head of legal for Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company for 9 years. She also serves as the board secretary. She has experience with such groups as the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in London, Osborne Clarke, Virgin Media and the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce.

Sudha Nakka Papisetty, Team Leader HSE Planning and Performance, ADNOC Sour Gas
Sudha Nakka Papisetty is the team leader for HSE planning and performance at ADNOC Sour Gas. That includes ensuring effective security and business continuity, following sustainable business practices and protecting employees, communities and the environment. The company boasts a Lost Time Frequency Injury below the global industry average.

Last year, Dr. Abeer Al-Olayan, a senior research scientist at Saudi Aramco, took home the much-coveted Oil & Gas Woman of the Year award. Members of the judging panel noted her “high-level technical achievements.”

“This outstanding achievement not only [acknowledges] me, but also every woman in Saudi Aramco who works hard alongside her fellow man to lead the company to success,” Al-Olayan said.

Awards will be given on September 12, 2018 at Buddha-Bar, Grosvenor House in Dubai. In the meantime, the jury panel will deliberate and decide a winner. The jury panel: Luciano Poli, president, India, Middle East and North Africa, Dow; Vivek Chandra, CEO and founder, Texas LNG; Nicholas Kjaer, general manager, Middle East, Churchill Drilling Tools; Ben Oudman, regional manager, DNV GL, oil and gas, Continental Europe, Eurasia, Middle East, India and Africa; and Annabel Green, chief technology officer, Tendeka.
