We are delighted to announce the names of the organisations and individuals whose nominations have been shortlisted after intense scrutiny by the Oil & Gas Middle East and Refining & Petrochemicals Middle East editorial team for the 2018 Oil & Gas Middle East and Refining & Petrochemicals Middle East Awards.

The nominations for the 9th edition of the Oil & Gas Middle East and Refining & Petrochemicals Middle East Awards has engaged all quarters of the upstream, midstream and downstream segments of the regional energy industry. This enthusiasm has resulted in significant number of nominations being received for the Awards this year.

Initiated on 1 April 2018, the online nominations window for the Awards closed on 5 August 2018. During the 127-day period, many companies and individuals from across all segments and verticals within the energy sector sent in their entries across the 10 award categories.

The shortlist for the nominations has been sent to the five judges – Luciano Poli, president, India, Middle East and North Africa, Dow; Vivek Chandra, CEO and founder, Texas LNG; Nicholas Kjaer, general manager, Middle East, Churchill Drilling Tools; Ben Oudman, regional manager, DNV GL, oil and gas, Continental Europe, Eurasia, Middle East, India and Africa; and Annabel Green, chief technology officer, Tendeka – who comprise the jury panel this year, and who will now consider the merit of each and every entry, and decide the winner.

This year, the ‘CSR Initiative of the Year’ Award will be adjudged by the editors of Oil & Gas Middle East and Refining & Petrochemicals Middle East, as ‘Editor’s Choice’ from the nominations received.
