Keppel Corporation Limited has received a notice from Saudi Aramco to proceed with construction of what will be Aramco’s first purpose built jack up rig.
Aramco Overseas Company, a subsidiary of Saudi Aramco has given Keppel the go-ahead to build the rig after the initial announcement of the contract on 27 January 2010.
In a company statement, Keppel Corporation said the contract with Aramco Overseas Company is not expected to have any material impact on the net tangible assets for the earning per share of Keppel Corporation for the current financial year.
