Research company GlobalData has ranked ADNOC as the sixth most influential energy firm in the world. The ranking took into consideration the amount of online engagement, mentions from influential figures, and expert analysis.
ADNOC this year has taken a decided focus on diversifying and growing its business, with a shift towards expanding its downstream portfolio and emphasising gas in its energy production profile.
ADNOC Group CEO Sultan Al Jaber has repeatedly emphasised the importance of digital technology, hailing this era “oil and gas 4.0.”
Paris-based International Energy Agency ranked first on the list, followed by the US Energy Information Administration, ExxonMobil, China National Petroleum Company and the US Department of Energy.
OPEC ranked ninth on the list.
