Global technology and training organisation 3T Energy Group acquired offshore training company Survivex. 3T Energy Group was formed earlier this year through a partnership between AIS Training and simulation developer Drilling Systems.
“This acquisition will see 3T Energy Group grow to more than 300 personnel with annual revenues in 2019 expected to be around £50m and offices across the world including London, Houston, Dubai and China,” said Paul Stonebanks OBE, the president of 3T Energy Group and founder of AIS Training.
“Acquiring Survivex will allow us to achieve our long-term growth plans and help our client base to reduce costs while increasing safety. Globally the 3T business aims to leverage its expertise, working with strategic partners, to implement technology solutions to enhance performance in the energy sector,” he added.
As such, training ranges from traditional courses to virtual reality and simulation technology. The group has four training centres in the UK which provide training courses for more than 75,000 people per year. Its mobile simulation technology “On-The-Rig” and “MultiSIM” are virtual reality enabled training solutions.
Survivex was established in 2011 and has grown to become one of the UK’s leading training providers with world-class facilities located in Aberdeen. 3T Energy Group says the acquisition will widen its course portfolio, increase availability and deliver better value for its customers.
