This year, the judging panel for the Oil & Gas Middle East and Refining & Petrochemicals Middle East Awards received a competitive crop of candidates for each of the 10 award categories. Each candidate was scrutinized until the judging panel was able to decide on a shortlist, and ultimately one winner and one highly commended nominee were chosen.
The winner of Oilfield Services Company of the Year 2018:
Schneider Electric is this year’s Oilfield Services Company of the Year!
Schneider Electric has been operating since the 1800s and provides services ranging from oilfield well automation to software-based solutions like data management systems and autonomous process control and safety systems.
Judges gave the award to Schneider Electric because of one of its recent projects: “won for its contribution to “the Panorama Command Center, which enables ADNOC to monitor and optimise the performance of its assets and operations across 16 operating companies from its Abu Dhabi headquarters. This includes oil and gas development and production, through processing petroleum and chemical products to transportation and distribution.”
“Winning the award is like crowning all the work we’ve been doing with our partners ADNOC and our customers,” said Hanan Darwish, cluster president for Schneider Electric Gulf and Pakistan. “We worked with a lot of partners to make [the Panorama Project] happen in a short time.”
