Restrata, a provider of resilience solutions to its clients, due to its long-standing involvement in high profile venues around the world, has joined the European Stadium and Safety Management Association (ESSMA) as an approved member.

Dimitri Huygen, managing director of ESSMA explained: “Restrata is a valuable asset to the ESSMA community. With their support and expertise, ESSMA members will be able to enhance safety and security at their venues.”

ESSMA, a European association, offers a platform to stadium professionals where they can share, learn and discuss topics related to ESSMA’s areas of expertise including stadium development, operations and ticketing, sustainability and smart stadiums and safety and security.

Botan Osman, managing director of Restrata, said: “We are excited to join ESSMA which provides a platform to not only learn from the other members, but also to provide our support with upcoming projects. We have a vast experience in improving resilience of both new and existing stadia projects globally, and feel we have a lot to offer the members of ESSMA.

“Equally, it will be beneficial for us to keep up to date with best practice examples and success stories from venues across Europe, which will equip our consultants with knowledge and expertise from the region which can be transferred to our projects in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia.”

Restrata was established in 2006 and offers security consulting, training, tracking and emergency response solutions to a variety of industries including the oil and gas sector.

The firm recently signed an agreement with Atlantic Offshore, an emergency response and rescue vessel (ERRV) operator supporting the hydrocarbon industry, while earlier this year, Restrata teamed up with AIS Training to offer specialised training courses developed and delivered for the oil and gas, wind and nuclear industries, to boost safety and improve the overall response to and management of emergency situations.

Restrata is based in London, Aberdeen, Dubai and the wider Middle East region.
