United Technical Services has signed a joint venture agreement with Tide Power System (TPS) based in China, to market, sell and provide sales parts and service support for TPS’ products for the Middle East, Pakistan and East Africa.
“The Arab world has one of the highest demands for power generation due to high population growth rates and economic diversification efforts”, said Javed Aslam, Manager of UTS’ power generation division.
“Across the Middle East, demand for electrical power is currently experiencing substantial growth driven by sustained oil prices, infrastructure development and the renaissance of Iraq. This joint venture is a significant addition to the regional power rental scene”, he added.
TPS, a generator set packager, uses a wide range of heavy duty industrial Diesel, LPG and natural gas fired engines to package generator sets from 5-4 00 Kilovolt-Amps (KVA) range.
UTS will set up a central distribution hub in Ras Al Khaimah to market, sell and provide sales support for TPS’ products. “We are excited to join hands with TPS and we are looking forward to working with them for a long-term and mutually beneficial relationship,” said Aslam.
