ARKeX has signed a long term agreement in Algiers with Sonatrach, the state oil company of Algeria, in the presence of Chakib Khelil, the Minister of Energy and Mines.
Sonatrach has awarded ARKeX a three year contract for a series of BlueQube airborne gravity gradient surveys across Algeria.
“The use of new technologies remains one of the fundamental objectives of Sonatrach to constantly improve rates of oil and gas recovery”, said Djamel Bekkouche, director Sonatrach exploration division.
The contract includes data acquisition, processing and interpretation. Covering a wide diversity of hydrocarbon play types, together with world class ore deposits, the surveys will span the entire geological range.
“ARKeX is looking forward to a long term partnership with Sonatrach” said John Siegfried, ARKeX’s chief operating officer, “We are committed to providing world class exploration technology that will allow Sonatrach to prospect for new resources in remote locations, difficult environments and in increasingly challenging geology.”
ARKeX ‘s BlueQube surveys are a unique combination of technologies which give prospect level detail from the air; a step change in resolution from previous conventional airborne gravity surveys. BlueQube surveys have been flown in Africa, Middle East and North America.
