A senior official from hydrocarbons giant Saudi Aramco has said that the Juaymah and Hawiyah gas plants have now come on-stream after both underwent an expansion.
Reuters reported that the source said that “the projects are finalized, mechanical completion is done”.
Juaymah has seen its capacity increase by 50% with the extra being used to handle increased volumes of ethane and natural gas liquids (NGLs)
Hawiyah will process an extra 800 million cfd of non-associated gas, raising capacity to 2.4 billion cfd.
