After we brought you the shocking news yesterday that ArabianOilandGas.com had been banned from attending the Oil Barons Ball, we have had a flood of responses from our readers.
Admittedly not all were 100% sympathetic to our plight, but when it seemed that all was lost, our very own fairy godmother appeared and made us an offer we couldn’t possibly refuse.
The legendary Ali Campbell’s UB40 are performing at the Irish Village in Dubai on the same night (November 20) as the OBB and the lovely marketing manager, Elise Sarkis-Talj, has invited ArabianOilandGas.com along to have a ball of our very own.
This may make some of you feel old, but Ali Campbell (pictured) has been the unmistakable voice of the reggae sensations for a full 30 years now and will be performing hits including Red Red Wine and Can’t Help Falling in Love.
Tickets for the event are a full 75% cheaper than the OBB and Elise has promised that it will not be oil that is flowing from the taps at the Irish Village on the night.
So we’d like to say a massive thank you to Elise and the rest of the team down at the Aviation Club where the Irish Village is located.
