The CEO of one of the contrators working on the Yemen Liquefied Natural Gas project has said that the first liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipment could now be delayed until the end of the year.
Technip CEO, Thierry Pilenko, told Reuters that the project, led by the French supermajor Total had delayed start-up of the plant by one month and would now be going ahead in September.
“Whatever has been communicated by our client is obviously the right start date. What was communicated was September, October or the beginning of the fourth quarter. I think this is what we have in our current plan”, Pilenko is quoted by Reuters as saying.
