ADNOC crude exports disrupted by bad weather

Jebel Dhanna oil terminal suspends operations due to poor visibility

Crude exports from Jebel Dhanna oil terminal, used by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Co (ADNOC) to ship its oil overseas, were suspended on Friday, while Jebel Ali in Dubai, a major export terminal for refined petroleum products closed on Sunday due to the bad weather.

“It was shut on Friday… late night, they are trying to berth the vessels but the weather is really bad,” the source said. “There is no indication when the terminal will be re-opened,” Reuters reports a source as saying.

However, the bad weather did not extend to the neighbouring Saudi Arabia where oil exports from Ras Tanura continued as normal despite fog.

Qatar’s main ports were also hit and with all three being closed over the weekend before reopening on Sunday.
