Jordan corruption case defendants indicted

The State Security Court of Jordan has issued the indictment on the Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company (JPRC) expansion project case of corruption, Jordan News Agency has reported.

The court transferred the case to the Prosecutor General in Jordan to consider the indictment against the former chairman of JPRC and former finance minister Adel Qudah, former JPRC director general Ahmad Rifai, the prime minister’s economic adviser Mohammed Rawasdeh and businessman Khaled Shahin.

The prosecutor completed the investigation into the case and issued the indictment against the four defendants.

The four defendants are to be summoned to the court tomorrow in order for them to be notified of their indictment and enable the court to embark on the trial.
