Reducing cost without compromising safety

Production losses alone can cost O&G companies tens of millions of dollars for just one day of downtime, without even accounting for the cost of contractors and manpower used during a shutdown

Energy professionals convene for the 5th Annual Shutdowns, Turnarounds, and Outages conference for two days starting December 6th at the Sofitel in Abu Dhabi.

Over the years, the conference has become a regional initiative for oil and gas companies and plant owners implementing planning strategies for cost optimisation.

Recently, cost-saving has become a central topic of discussion among energy industry professionals. Thus, large scale maintenance activities such as shutdowns and turnarounds which add to operational costs and production losses have become critical.

Such issues, as well as budgeting for the STO process to minimise costs, extending intervals between each shutdown to save costs, and improving online inspection to avoid turnaround failures, will be tackled in panel discussions and presentations throughout the conference, covering both upstream and downstream sectors.
